The younger members of the Carddies team wrote a lovely piece for First News ( the UK national newspaper for children aged 7-14).

"It all started on a rainy seaside holiday in Devon… our Mum started drawing us cardboard people from the backs of cereal packets.  We would colour them in, and then play with them for hours, inventing little stories in our heads. Back then we did not imagine that they would end up as a proper toy. "
